Logo Design for Greater Manchester Workers & Tenants Association. June 2026.
Earlier this year I was asked to design a logo for the newly formed Greater Manchester Workers and Tenants Association (GMWTA), a project organising workers, tenants and community members against the far right.
I played with a few variants, one being the combination of a ubiquitous factory symbol with the silhouette of a pitched roof home — workers and tenants under one roof. The simplest can sometimes work out the best, though: a bright red badge with sharp factory-like outlines woven into the M and W.
