Curation. STAT00 opening night. August 2024.
In July of 2024 I completed my undergrad, simultaenously moving away from Liverpool and into Leigh Spinners Mill – STAT’s new headquarters.
It had always been the goal to use whatever business address we go our hands on to host events, to get people together in person. STAT00 was our first attempt – part exhibition, part moving-in party.
Exhibited on the walls was the work of artists Lucy Evans, Matthew Wood, Samuel Jones, Thomas Steeles, Lili-Mae Moore and Maeve Thompson. Additional bits included a looped screening of STAT’s recently released cryptid hunting documentary and an assortment of STAT pariphernalia, centrally, my original abolition scribbles atop boundary map of Manchester.
